1st Day BUCHAREST
Even it’s a short time to visit all the beautiful and representative landmarks of Romania, we shall explore together the most interesting areas of Romania.
After landing in Bucharest we shall take you to the hotel and then have a relaxing walk in old town area of the city. If time allows we shall visit the Village Museum and pass by other historic buildings.

2nd Day SIBIU
We have two options to reach Sibiu, one is through the amazing Transfagarasan Road – Top Gear UK TV Show “favorite road in the world” and the other is the easy regular drive. Going through Transfagarasan Road will take at least 2 hours more, due mostly to the endless U turns and reaching an altitude of 2034 meters. NOTE: this road is open only from July 1st to Oct 31st. For the other period it is closed due to snow.
In the late afternoon/evening we shall reach Sibiu – 2007 European Capital of Culture and the first town of Transylvania on our list. Small and Large Squares plus Liars’ Bridge are first on the list, then we shall stop for a spectacular panoramic view of the city from Council Tower.

3rd Day MARAMURES region
Today we head to Maramures region with its famous Wooden Churches. The UNESCO Wooden Churches in Plopis and Surdesti are on the list. We accommodate in the traditional village of Breb in a traditional wooden house.

4th Day GURA HUMORULUI
First on our list today is probably the most beautiful complex of Wooden Churches in Romania, Barsana. After that we shall reach into the holly land of Bucovina with its unique painted monasteries: Moldovita and Voronet – part of UNESCO World Heritage.

5th Day SOVATA
Before leaving Gura Humorului we shall visit Humor Monastery registered within UNESCO World Heritage and then cross back to Transylvania through the beautiful area – Bicaz Canyon. Later we reach Red Lake – at an altitude of over 1000 meters formed over two centuries ago. In the evening we accommodate in Sovata.

6th Day SIGHISOARA
We are back in Transylvania now, visiting first the Praid Saline before reaching Sighisoara – a very well kept medieval town. We shall visit Sighisoara and its Medieval Citadel (UNESCO), Citadel Square, Clock Tower and Dracula’s House – where Vlad the Impaler was born and grew up (famous world-wide as Dracula from Bram Stoker’s novel). Other historical buildings like Stag and Venetian Houses, Church from the Hill, Church of the Dominican Monastery await us. Later we go to Malancrav Saxon village where a local lady is awaiting us with a traditional dinner.

7th Day BRASOV, VISCRI and PELES CASTLE
On our way to another beautiful medieval town, Brasov, we will reach the favorite village of Prince Charles, Viscri. We shall visit the Fortified Church of Viscri included in UNESCO World Heritage. Later we arrive in Brasov, where we can take a relaxing walk in the historical center and visit the Black Church. Then we arrive in Bran to visit the most famous castle in Romania aka Dracula's Castle.

8th Day BUCHAREST

In the early morning we shall visit Peles Castle, the Romanian Royal Family residence from 1880's to 1947 - when the Royal Family was expelled from Romania by the communist party. Depending on the time of your flight back home we can visit the House of People – actual Palace of Romanian Parliament, second largest administrative building in the world. Also nearby is the Romanian Patriarchal Cathedral and Patriarch Palace (built 1654-1658) – the center of Romanian Orthodox Church.
Then we shall drive you to the airport.
